THURSDAY: HEAD N HAND HUNT

This Thursday we’ll be doing deflector practice. Deflection is a vital skill, arguably more vital than shielding, but much harder to master. Let’s play one of my favorite games, de-emphasizing footwork and focusing on bladework, pulls, and hooks.

Also, we haven’t been using the ladder so let’s get back on the ladder after class and if anyone wants to do the gauntlet, we’ll test you on it after class. Check the ladder page to familiarize yourself with the drills.
